Starting aesthetics with no qualifications
What a beginner really needs
Many people ask whether they must already work in beauty before they can train in aesthetics. For a beginner, the honest answer is no, and here is how the first steps work.
A course built for beginners
The Level 3 foundation aesthetic therapies course is designed for learners with no previous beauty or aesthetics experience. It needs no earlier beauty qualifications and no medical background.
What you do need
You will need access to a laptop or desktop computer for the online learning, and the commitment to complete independent study, coursework and assessments. Hands-on sessions are with tutors in London.
Why many start with anatomy
The Level 3 anatomy and physiology certificate teaches how the body works and how skin responds to treatments. Many advanced courses list it as an entry requirement, so it is often the first qualification people take. It is studied fully online.
Choosing between them
If you want the science first and the flexibility of online study, begin with anatomy and physiology. If you want practical skills sooner, ask about the foundation course. Message us and we will suggest an order, then talk through dates and the trip from Newcastle.
Ask where a beginner starts
Message us, say what you have done so far, and we will point you to the right first course.
